We all love to drool over home makeovers. It inspires us, and kicks us in the butt when we’re dragging our DIY feet! We did our first Drool Worthy Decor post awhile back, and featured some amazing blogger’s farmhouse kitchens… It’s been a popular post, so here we go again, this time with the next most important job in the house… master bedroom decorating! We shouldn’t save decorating our personal space for last, it really is where we recharge, and get some time to just be. So take a cue from these amazing master bedroom decorating ideas, and use your budget decorator DIY skills to create your space!
Master Bedroom Decorating Ideas
Stef from ‘The Girl Inspired‘ created a focal point for her master bedroom reveal by creating a wood wall behind the handmade upholstered headboard. After that, everything was kept pretty neutral. You don’t need more than this! I love how the crystals in the light fixture contrast with the rustic wood wall. Check out all her master bedroom decorating ideas at her blog!
LOVE the Craigslist master bedroom makeover by Pam at ‘Simple Details‘. Ok, talk about taking second hand and making is awesome. Check out all the photos at their post in detail, this is one very charming room.

These master bedroom decorating ideas are from Jen at ‘City Farmhouse‘. This DIY rustic chic budget friendly makeover project is tasteful, bright and friendly, and makes you want to sink down, pop open a book and cuddle under that throw. Sorry Jen, you may have to move over for us, this bedroom amazes me! She walks you through how she did it, so make sure you click on over and get some of her secrets to use in your room. That herringbone wall alone must have saved big bucks over wallpaper!
Alicia at ‘Thrifty and Chic‘ has a charming and pretty master bedroom makeover, but what really makes this room crazy is her DIY board and batten wall. This room is anything but “everyday”, and that’s just how your personal space should feel! Make sure you check out her house tour while you are there, her whole home is gorgeous!
From Kari and Becky at ‘U Create‘ they did this master bedroom reveal for HGTV Home and JoAnn Crafts… So cute! The have a “before” photo of just about every project in that room, so make sure you click through and check them all out. Especially their tutorial for that headboard. These master bedroom decorating ideas are so easily done on a budget!
I love grey, but I guess who doesn’t these days? Difference is, I was choosing grey way back when everyone else was into taupe, tan and beige! So I adore the grey and coral budget bedroom makeover that Marty at ‘Marty’s Musings‘ did! So cheerful, and she did this on a tight budget! You have to read her whole post to see how she pulled this off. Check out these before and afters!

Beth from ‘Home Stories A to Z” has redone her master a few times, but every one has had great ideas, and they get better and better! So this master bedroom reveal of hers should be her last, ’cause it’s gorgeous! Lot’s of photos to inspire. Make sure you check out her tutorial for her DIY plank wall while you are there, that wall makes this room crazy cool. I just looked at nightstands almost exactly like this today, and I also have a sunburst mirror over my bed and a small chandelier, so I’m loving’ we have sister tastes!
Ok, another “sister” in master bedroom decorating taste! Ashley from ‘Bigger Than the Three of Us‘ has a master bedroom reveal that has some similarities to ours as well! More sunburst mirror, this is a similar wall color to ours, and an additional larger mirror in the room as well. I guess I really need to get off my butt and get my reveal done for you guys, huh? Anyway, Ashley did an amazing job, this room is so restful! Check out all her pics!
Lauren from ‘The Thinking Closet‘ has a different take on master bedroom decorating ideas… a DIY nautical master bedroom reveal! I love the theme of this room, and a great before and after. Go check out all her pics, and check out the link at the bottom of the post for the tutorial on the DIY custom king size bed!

I like this master bedroom makeover from ‘IKEA Share Space‘ because, well, first of all, it’s IKEA! But nothing major has been done in this room, just the accessories and styling has changed. This room has a much more masculine feel than the makeovers above. Go check out how they did it, including video! My fav part? That cool shelf over the bed with the B&W’s… I like the vibe. :)

Can someone from site pretty please message me… I need some advice on an odd shaped room and bed set.
I’m sorry Amber, we just plain don’t have time to help individual readers! However, there are really smart people here in our community, post your questions, maybe someone can help!
Hi all.
I was hoping to get some ideas for our master. Our bedroom set is a dark brown & we’d like to go with white bedding. Any ideas on romantic with a hint of “manliness” for wall decor & rugs? If you’ve got pictures, that would be amazing!
Thank you so much in advance!
We love large b&w photography, and neutral rugs with lots of fuzzy texture! Don’t forget a throw blanket! You’re right on track using white! Any one have some more ideas for Susana?
The makeovers look so amazing. We transferred to another house and did a makeover to our master’s bedroom. It was really fun.
