We have a crush on the faux fur trend. Not really big news, since half the world does too, right? But lets face it, sometimes those pretty, glammy, luxe home decor items can cost more than a few bucks. Way more. But you can have that pop of style in your home, in your budget, with these faux fur DIY projects! From your family room to your entry, to your teens room to the master bedroom, try one of these projects and you will be hooked on the trend too!

DIY Faux Fur Projects

Your faux fur project doesn’t have to be just white. Lovin’ on this blush office chair makeover project from ‘A Beautiful Mess’. Easy project, and you can do it in whatever color faux fur fabric you choose… More subtle, or more fun, like this one! Great tutorial with lots of photos.

Summer over at ‘Ehow’ took an ordinary boring coffee table and turned it into something special… This faux fur ottoman/ coffee table is bohemian, yet classy!

O.M.G. This luxe fur pom pom throw from Erin at ‘Earnest Home Co.’ is everything. Even if pom poms might not normally be your thing, this throw looks like it should costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars. It cost her $30 to make. Done deal.

This stool is so cute, and could work anywhere in the home for a touch of glitzy glam. Again from ‘A Beautiful Mess’, this faux fur stool is made from scratch, from easily found supplies.

Mallory from ‘Classy Clutter’ made this DIY faux fur ottoman from scrap wood, foam core board, and faux fur from Ikea. Worried it will get dingy from people putting their feet up? Use grey faux fur!

These DIY faux fur pillows make me want to give them a squeeze too! From ‘Lia Griffith’, (we LOVE her!), easy photo tutorial. I need at least three of these.

Also from ‘Lia Griffith’, try your hand at this DIY faux fur throw. I love this idea, because it lets you choose what type of fabric to line the fur in. Flannel sounds heavenly. Or what about a lower pile polar fleece?

From Kelly at ‘View Along the Way’, learn how to make a DIY faux fur rug. Yep, a rug. Not only is this WAAAYYYY cheaper than a store bought one that looks exactly the same, you can wash this.

Think we were gonna leave the fur-babies out of this? Alicia at ‘DIY Dog Mom’ has a tutorial for this no-sew DIY faux fur dog bed that looks so cute and comfy. Ok, it could be the adorable pups taking a nap on it, but I don’t think so. It’s definitely the project.

Our last one is just full of style. Have you seen those Boho wall hangings in every high end shop? Well let the sisters at ‘A Joyful Riot’ show you how to make a DIY faux fur wall hanging to rival the chicest boutique.

Before you leave, ‘Lia Griffith’ has a whole post with tips and tricks for sewing faux fur. Which is your furry fav?
